INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ¾ cup vegetable oil
- ¼ cup molasses
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon McNess Ground Cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (to dip the cookies in just before baking)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Line 2 cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix together brown sugar, oil, molasses, and egg in a large bowl.
- Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt; stir into the molasses mixture.
- Roll dough into 1 1/4-inch balls. Roll each ball in the granulated sugar before placing 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until center is firm. Cool on wire racks for 5 minutes and then transfer cookies to the wire racks from the baking sheets to cool completely. Serve with your favorite tea, coffee or cold glass of milk! Enjoy!
