INGREDIENTS
- ¼ cup whole milk
- 1 extra large egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- ½ teaspoon McNess Champion Madagascar Vanilla Compound
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons confectionary sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a large bowl, whisk together milk, egg, water and vanilla.
- Then add the dry ingredients and whisk until combined.
- Continue stirring until nice and smooth. Set aside.
- In a medium, deep-sided pot, heat oil to 375°F.
- Using a funnel spout or large mixing bowl with a pouring spout, drizzle batter from cup in a thin line, swirling around the pan and overlapping as desired. Cook for 2 minutes or until light golden brown, then flip and cook another 2 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drain excess oil from funnel cakes by placing on dry paper towels.
- Then sprinkle with confectionary sugar and serve. Repeat with the remaining batter until all the batter is used.
