7-Minute Frosting

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • egg whites
  • 6 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons McNess Champion Madagascar Vanilla Compound

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine all of the ingredients except the vanilla in a stainless steel heavy-bottomed saucepan.
  2. Place mixture over medium-low heat and beat with an electric hand mixer constantly for 5-7 minutes, or until icing is fluffy and stiff peaks form when the beaters are removed.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
  4. Spread the frosting on the cake of your choice that has been properly cooled.
